Frequently Asked Questions

When will the tree raffle be held?
Both the Raffle and the Tree Pick up will be on Sunday, December 2nd.

Can anyone watch the raffle?
Yes, you are welcome to be present.

How do I know if I won a tree in the raffle?
You will receive a phone call from a Festival committee member on Sunday, the day of the Raffle, between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm.

Do I have to be present to win?
You do not need to be present. However, the Festival committee member must be able to reach you by phone on Sunday morning or be able to leave a message for you on an answering machine. If there is no answer or no way to leave a message, the next number drawn will be contacted. Caller ID is not notification that you have won a tree. Please make sure that the number you write on this raffle slip is the number where you can be reached or where we can leave a message. Be sure your message box is not full.

What happens if I am not at home on December 2nd, and have no answering machine?
We must be able to reach you somehow. When you fill out the raffle form, leave a number of a friend or family member where we can leave a message. Once you receive the message, please call (978) 685-8878 to let us know you have received the message and will be there on Sunday afternoon to pick up the tree.

When and where can I pick up the tree that I won?
You may pick up your tree at 13 Branch Street, Methuen on the Sunday after the Festival closes from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. If you will be delayed beyond 4:00 pm, please call the Festival at (978) 685-8878 to tell us you have been delayed.

What do I need to bring with me to pick up the tree I won?
If you won a large tree, you will most likely need a couple of extra hands to assist you. If you plan to “undecorate” the tree, you will need to bring boxes or bags in which to place the decorations. Delicate items will need to be wrapped in tissue or newspaper. You may leave the decorations on and wrap with wide plastic wrap that we provide for you. Tree wrapping requires extra hands. Bring someone to help you, and you may need someone to help you carry your tree to your car. Large trees may need to go home in a truck.
